Brotherhood of All Mankind

Back to Wastelands and Trailer Parks

In the world of Rifts nobody gets an even break, least of all the Coalition ground-pounder charged to defend peace and civilization in a wasteland friendly to neither. Earth groans beneath the evil taint of magic, nonhumans, half-humans and worse abominations. Always he is there, selflessly laying out his life to push the darkness back one more step, fighting for the brotherhood of all mankind, for the supremacy of the human master race. Sometimes his bitterest enemy is the very human remnant he extracts from beneath the heel of the Outsiders. But onward he fights, for there is no compromise with evil. Let Earth be given unto the commonwealth of Humanity!

All others must die.

Figures are original Palladium Rifts miniatures, with a few Warzone models. Painted by Vynnie and Von.

The core of the Coalition armored fist is the lowly ground-pounder. Armored in advanced composites, carrying the best in laser, railgun, and even plasma technology, these soldiers are ready to hunt big game.

Just as essential is close air support. Coalition sky cycles can lay down crushing rocket barrages on targets identified by infantry spotters.

SAMAS armor also keeps close company to its ground-confined brethren, bringing rapidfire railguns and huge drums of ammunition. Even old U.S. Glitter Boy suits are used by a few units, clearing out infantry and even powered armor with their massive magnetic-accelerator shotguns. Once the target is broken and dispersed, tame cyborgs and automated skelebot teams move in to prosecute close-range engagement of remaining hostiles ... and to complete partial kills.

Sometimes skelebots are deployed with human infantry to reduce casualties. They are steadfast and literally fearless warriors that will take point or provide covering fire in even the most unpromising circumstances.

Perhaps the most insidious enemies are those who have made themselves less than human by polluting their minds with the psychic arts. A squad of psi-hounds is a must for any expeditionary force, as they are sometimes the first and only warning of a hostile concealed among refugees.
